The Ceilidh will take place at the Halpern Centre, Simon Fraser University Burnaby Campus, 8888 University Dr, Burnaby, BC V5Z 1S6

Doors open at 6:30pm

Ticket price:

General Admission: $5/person

10 years old and under: Free

Bar service and pizza will be available for purchase. Although alcohol will be served, guests of all ages are welcome and permitted to attend.

Open Ceilidh Contest:

The main feature of the Ceilidh will be an open performance contest open to all ages and grade levels.

Competitors may compete as soloists or in groups of up to 5 players. Performance groups may include any combination of pipers and drummers. There are no music requirements to follow except that all performances must remain under 10 minutes in length. Highland dress is not mandatory.

Prize monies will be awarded to the most entertaining performances

No entry fee required other than the cost to enter the ceilidh.

Judging:

Spectators who are pipers or drummers are encouraged to join the judging panel. There will be approximately 10 vacancies to fill. Judging positions will not be restricted to BCPA accredited adjudicators.
